On April, 23rd, 2014 over 500 women from EMC had the opportunity to attend the 35th Simmons Leadership Conference. This year’s theme was “Jumping the Curve”, which had the most impressive line-up of speakers such as, Hillary Clinton, Dennis Morrison, Rana Faroohar, Rita Moreno, Zainab Salbi and Mae Jemison. Everyone who attended had the opportunity to listen and meet these dynamic women.
All of the EMC women were excited to our own M. L Krakauer EVP, Human Resources opened up the conference with her own Jumping the Curve experience.
I am still mesmerized with this experience and wanted to share with you some of my key takeaways, I hope you are inspired by these quotes. Stay tuned for more Simmons pictures (the one I am anxiously waiting for is with Hillary Clinton!) and off course my thoughts in upcoming blogs....

"Here's the reason why diversity in the sciences is important: it's not just about bodies...It's because today we're at a critical point in history where the best ways forward to meet the demands of human life are not clear...and the output of STEM fields will create that path."
